College of Life Science and Technology Held 2020 Discipline Development Strategy Seminar

On the morning of January 16th, the College of Life Science and Technology held the 2020 Discipline Development Strategy Seminar in Technology Building 302. Qin Peiyong, Dean of the Hou Debang School of Engineering (Paris Curie College of Engineering) and Tong Yigang, Dean of the College of Life Science and Technology attended the meeting. Members of the College of Life Science and Technology, leaders of various disciplines, and professors attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by Jia Mengqiu, Secretary of the Party Committee of College of Life Science and Technology.

At first, Secretary Jia Mengqiu introduced the fifth round of subject evaluation and the pre-asses**ent work that the college has already carried out. Subsequently, the research secretary and postgraduate secretary reported on the pre-asses**ent of each discipline of the college in turn. Based on the fourth round of disciplinary evaluation indicators, the focus concentrated on the faculty and resources, the quality of talent training, scientific research, social services, and the reputation of the discipline.

Participants conducted a full discussion on the subject evaluation work and clarified the focus and division of work in the next step. Subject leaders will set up asses**ent preparatory groups for each profession to further improve asses**ent data and information, and strive to be comprehensive, accurate and distinctive.

In the end, Dean Tong Yigang put forward requirements on how to do a good job in the fifth round of subject evaluation. He emphasized that the entire college should improve its standing, closely integrate discipline construction and college development, adhere to performance-oriented and contribution-oriented, and further stimulate the vitality of discipline development and innovation; in accordance with the overall requirements of school discipline evaluation, anchor the evaluation goals and formulate Effective measures, detailed task indicators, and strive to achieve good results in the fifth round of subject evaluation.
