On November 9, the 12th “Life Sciences Through My Eyes” Research Team Showcase was successfully held on the sixth floor of the library.

Organized by the School of Life Sciences and Technology at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, the event featured 23 research teams showcasing their distinctive work across multiple cutting-edge fields, including synthetic biology, protein engineering, biochemical catalysis, and nanobiomaterials transformation.

Beyond showcasing the latest research achievements, the event provided students with a “zero-distance” opportunity to engage with scientific knowledge. It enabled students interested in research to interact face-to-face with researchers, addressing questions about research initiation, topic selection, and research content. This experience allowed students to appreciate the joy of scientific exploration and ignited their passion for pursuing research careers.
Event Highlights
The exhibition space buzzed with excitement as each booth showcased the dedicated efforts of researchers working day and night. Experimental data displayed on panels was clear and intuitive, highlighting abundant scientific achievements. Models and teaching aids on the exhibits brought concepts vividly to life.

Booth representatives enthusiastically and meticulously introduced research outcomes and core concepts to students. They combined demonstrations with experimental models and occasionally broke down principles using data charts, making specialized knowledge accessible and understandable. Students actively engaged with the research teams, posing questions and sparking lively discussions. The exchange of ideas ignited sparks of intellectual curiosity with every question and answer.

In the interactive zone, students got hands-on experience, personally feeling the charm of research. Others lingered before display boards, delving into research topics that piqued their interest, immersing themselves in a sea of knowledge. Some booths even featured quiz-and-prize draws, using engaging and fun methods to help students grasp specialized knowledge—effectively spreading knowledge while offering high interactivity.

On-site, students experienced an immersive collision of science and life, witnessing the mutual pursuit of youthful spirit and scientific passion.
