Since the establishment of the School of Life, it has attached great importance to the construction of faculty, through the introduction of talents and careful training, the School has built up a faculty with deep academic attainments, innovative spirit and dedication, with 95 teaching staff, 74 full and associate professors, 36 doctoral supervisors, among which there is 1 academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 3 Yangtze River Scholars Distinguished Professors, 4 recipients of the National Distinguished Young People's Fund, 4 recipients of the National Excellent Young People's Fund, 1 recipient of the 973 Chief Scientist, 4 recipients of the Ministry of Education's New Century Excellent Talents, 1 recipient of the Ho Liang He Li Award, and 1 recipient of the Ministry of Education's New Century Excellent Talents.  The age structure of the faculty is reasonable. Young and middle-aged teachers aged 45 and below account for 62% of the total number of teachers in the college, and the proportion of young and middle-aged teachers has maintained the growth trend in recent years, showing the characteristics of richness and strength. There are 80 teachers with doctoral degrees in the faculty, most of them have overseas study or working experience, and more than 10 internationally renowned professors have been employed as part-time professors of the college, which lays a foundation for the cultivation of high-quality talents.
