On the afternoon of September 29, 2024, the College of Life successfully held the 2024 Faculty-level Young Teachers' Basic Skills Competition. The competition aimed to improve the teaching level of young teachers and provide a platform for self-presentation and communication and learning. Wang Lei, vice dean of teaching, presided over the competition.
Adhering to the fine tradition of the Youth Teaching Competition of the College of Life, a total of 6 young teachers enthusiastically applied for this competition. They prepared carefully and showed their style on the podium with full enthusiasm and solid teaching skills. The judges of the competition were Chen Chang, Beijing Famous Teaching Teacher, Yang Jing, school-level Famous Teaching Teacher, as well as Wang Lei, Shen Xiaolin and Zhang Yi, the winners of Beijing Youth Teaching Competition.
During the competition, the participating teachers used rich teaching methods, vivid case studies and visual multimedia presentations to explain the content of the professional core courses. The judges made strict judgments based on the content of the lectures, PPT design, teaching methods and practical effects, and fully affirmed the merits of the participating teachers, while also gave pertinent suggestions on the deficiencies.
The College of Life strictly controls the quality of teaching and improves teachers' ability to educate people through various ways. It is believed that with the joint efforts of all the teachers, the teaching level of the School of Life will continue to improve, and make greater contributions to the cultivation of backbone and leading talents in the discipline.
