On December 5, 2024, the College of Life Sciences and Technology organized an expert review meeting for the qualification assessment of degree authorization points of pharmacy discipline. Prof. Cui Yimin of Peking University was the leader of the expert group, and the members of the expert group included Prof. Ye Min of Peking University, Prof. Song Jianfei of China Pharmaceutical University, Researcher Chen Ligong of Tsinghua University, and Prof. Zhao Guangrong of Tianjin University. Mr. Su Haijia, Vice President of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Mr. Cao Weiyu, Vice Dean of Graduate School, Mr. Wang Xing, Vice President of the College, and Mr. Wang Lei, Vice President of the College and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Cao Hui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the College.
In her welcome speech, Su Haijia expressed her warm welcome to the attending experts and expressed her heartfelt thanks to the experts who have long cared and supported the development of pharmacy disciplines in Beijing University of Chemical Technology. She pointed out that as a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education, Beijing University of Chemical Technology shoulders the mission of cultivating high-level innovative talents and scientific research, and attaches great importance to the construction of the discipline, and hopes that the expert group will give valuable opinions and provide guidance for the development of the discipline of pharmacy.
Prof. Qiao Renzhong, the head of the discipline, made a report on the assessment of degree authorization points of pharmacy discipline from the aspects of discipline development overview, basic conditions, talent cultivation and service contribution.
The evaluation session was presided over by Prof. Cui Yimin. By listening to the evaluation report of degree authorization points, checking relevant materials and holding discussions with representatives of teachers and students, the expert group conducted a comprehensive evaluation of the degree authorization points of pharmacy disciplines of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, and put forward valuable suggestions on the construction of characteristic disciplines, the attraction and cultivation of high-level talents, and teaching and cultivation system.
After the strict evaluation by the expert group, the degree authorization point of pharmacy discipline of Beijing University of Chemical Technology successfully passed the conformity assessment. The expert group unanimously agreed that the pharmacy discipline of Beijing University of Chemical Technology has made remarkable achievements in scientific research, talent cultivation, academic exchanges and social services, especially in the industrialization and application of drug synthesis, fermentation, separation and analysis technologies.
