Date:2025-06-25

Recently, the national key research and development plan “renewable energy technology” key special “photoelectricity strengthened lignocellulose preparation of liquid fuels” project kick-off meeting and implementation plan discussion meeting was successfully held in Beijing University of Chemical Technology Conference Center, the first floor of the multi-function hall. The project is led by Beijing University of Chemical Technology and jointly undertaken by Tianjin University, Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Southeast University and Guangzhou Energy Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

The meeting invited Prof. Liu Zheng of Tsinghua University as the leader of the expert group, Prof. Li Yiwen of Sichuan University (online), Prof. Wang Chenguang of Guangzhou Institute of Energy Research of Chinese Academy of Sciences as the responsible experts of the project, Academician Tan Tianwei, the president of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Academician Ying Hanjie of Nanjing University of Technology (online), Prof. Qiu Xueqing of Guangdong University of Technology, Prof. Fan Daidi of Northwest University (online), Prof. Wang Xiaodi of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, and Vice President of Beijing University of Chemical Technology (online) as the responsible experts. ), Prof. Su Haijia, Vice President of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, Prof. Lei Tingzhou of Changzhou University, Prof. Jiang Zhongyi of Tianjin University, Prof. Li Chun of Tsinghua University, Prof. Wang Feng, Deputy Director of Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Prof. Lin Hailong, Chief Scientist of Guotou Bio-technology Investment Company Limited, and Prof. Zhou Yongjin, Researcher of Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, as the members of the expert group, and the professionals of project management. Relevant personnel of the organization attended the meeting, and a total of more than 30 students and teachers of the project undertaking unit attended the meeting.

The opening ceremony of the meeting was hosted by Guo Xindong, Executive Vice President of the Institute of Science and Technology Development of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, and Su Haijia, Vice President of Beijing University of Chemical Technology, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the leadership of the project unit, and expressed his warm welcome and heartfelt thanks to all the experts and guests attending the meeting.

The meeting was hosted by Prof. Liu Zheng from Tsinghua University. Relevant personnel of project management professional organizations made a special report entitled “Communication on Management of National Key R&D Programs in the Field of Energy”, which systematically introduced the policy requirements and relevant systems of the process management of national key special projects, and put forward targeted suggestions on the construction of the project team, the management mechanism, and the key issues that may be faced in the process of implementation, and expressed their support for the smooth progress of the project and the implementation of the project. He also expressed his great expectations for the smooth progress of the project and the output of high-level results.

Prof. Lv Yongqin of Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT), the project leader, introduced the overall situation and implementation plan of the project, while Prof. Shi Jiafu of Tianjin University, Associate Researcher Luo Nengchao of Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (DICP), and Associate Prof. Cai of Beijing University of Chemical Technology (BUCT), in turn, reported on the implementation pathway and the expected goals of each topic. The project focuses on the low utilization of raw materials, high energy consumption, poor product selectivity and other core problems in the conversion of lignocellulose into liquid fuels, and puts forward the original research idea of “photoelectricity-enhanced lignocellulose preparation of liquid fuels”. The project will develop photoelectrocatalytic components with broad spectral absorption, fast charge transfer and high reactivity, innovate and develop acid/alkali charge synergistic catalytic system, construct photoelectrochemical-enzyme/cellular in-situ coupling and multi-stage coupling catalytic system, and then form a biorefinery platform for the high-efficiency conversion of lignocellulosics, so as to realize high-efficiency and low-carbon utilization of the whole component.

Participating experts listened carefully to the project report, conducted in-depth questioning and discussion on the research idea, technical route and implementation plan, fully affirmed the original concept and system design proposed by the project, and put forward constructive comments and suggestions. The expert group unanimously agreed that the project has clear objectives, clear technical routes, reasonable division of labor, scientific and feasible research plans and assessment indicators, and has a good basis for implementation and potential for transformation of expected results. The expert group unanimously approved the implementation program of this project.

At the end of the meeting, Prof. Lv Yongqin made a concluding speech on behalf of all project members. She said that the project team will seriously implement the valuable opinions put forward by the expert group, further optimize and improve the implementation plan, strengthen the process management, deepen the synergies between the topics, ensure that the research tasks are completed in high quality and according to the nodes, and promote the smooth implementation of the project to achieve substantial results. The project kick-off meeting and implementation program discussion meeting ended successfully.
