The School of Life Sciences held the 2025 Annual Summary and Commendation Meeting and the 2026 Spring Festival Gala

       To summarize the past, recognize the advanced, and welcome the New Year together, on the afternoon of January 16, 2026, the School of Life Science and Technology at Beijing University of Chemical Technology held the 2025 Annual Summary and Commendation Meeting and the 2026 Spring Festival Gala in Conference Room 702 of the High-Tech Building. Tan Tianwei, President of Beijing University of Chemical Technology; Vice Presidents Gan Zhihua, Su Haijia, Xu Fujian; as well as some university administrative leaders, Dean Tong Yigang, and other members of the college's leadership team, faculty, some retired colleagues, and their children attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by undergraduate counselors Wan Zihua and Jiang Hao.  



     In his speech, Tan Tianwei fully affirmed the School of Life Sciences' outstanding achievements in 2025 in major platforms such as the National Key Laboratory of Green Biomanufacturing, publishing papers in top journals, and applying for the Beijing Teaching Achievement Award, encouraging all faculty and students to continue striving bravely, sustaining efforts in talent introduction, cultivation, and achievement transformation, and writing a new chapter in the college's high-quality development.  



      Xu Fujian congratulated the college on its outstanding achievements in 2025, expressed hopes for the college's work in 2026, and expressed his best wishes to all faculty and students.  


   

         Tong Yigang delivered the college's 2025 annual work summary. He stated that all faculty, staff, and staff of the School of Life Sciences, guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, united their efforts and worked diligently, achieving fruitful results in areas such as Party building and ideological and political work, talent cultivation, discipline development, and scientific research. He pointed out the issues that need attention for the college's next development, expressed heartfelt thanks and best wishes to the faculty and staff.

          At the meeting, representatives of newly hired teachers in 2025 were invited to introduce themselves. Four teachers—Li Hongmei, Lin Baixue, Xu Kang, and Yu Jiarui—introduced themselves in turn.

       At the meeting, the list of individuals who have achieved outstanding results and been commended in areas such as Party building, ideological and political work, talent cultivation, discipline development, scientific research, foreign affairs, and public welfare services for 2025 was read aloud, aiming to play a demonstrative and leading role.

        After the summary and commendation session, cultural performances and interactive games took turns on stage, heating up the atmosphere at the venue: student representatives sang "Beijing Welcomes You," conveying enthusiasm and energy; The Department of Bioengineering performed the chorus "A Loving Family," showcasing the cohesion of the college; The Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Engineering departments respectively expressed their patriotism by singing "My Motherland and I" and "Singing the Motherland"; The Department of Biomedical Engineering's "Three and a Half Sentences" used humorous language to review the college's annual anecdotes, resonating with the entire audience. The children also brought wonderful performances, adding much fun to the meeting.



      The event concluded successfully amid laughter and joy, with all participants taking group photos to commemorate the occasion. May all faculty, staff, and students of the School of Life Sciences have a happy Spring Festival and all the best in life. With the spirit of taking the lead and the drive to gallop forward, may they continue to write a new chapter of vigorous development for the college in 2026!
