On the afternoon of April 15, 2026, Vice President Pang Qiuxiang of Shandong University of Technology and Dean Yang Fengtang of the School of Life and Medicine visited our college for exchange and visit. Dean Tong Yigang of the School of Life Sciences, together with relevant officials, warmly received the visiting guests. The symposium was chaired by Professor Tian Pingfang from the School of Life Sciences.
At the symposium, Dean Tong Yigang, on behalf of the college, warmly welcomed Vice President Pang Qiuxiang and his delegation, and briefly introduced the college's development history, discipline layout, faculty team building, talent cultivation features, and recent achievements in scientific research and social services. Vice President Pang Qiuxiang and her delegation highly praised our college's recent development achievements and introduced the experiences and practices of the School of Life and Medicine at Shandong University of Technology in program development, scientific research innovation, platform building, and serving local economic and social development.
Subsequently, both sides held in-depth exchanges on discipline development, talent cultivation, scientific research, platform development, and industry-university-research cooperation, exchanging views on interdisciplinary integration, training young teachers, organized research advancement, transformation of research achievements, sharing of experimental platforms, and cultivation of students' innovative abilities. Both sides agreed that this exchange further enhanced mutual understanding, broadened work ideas, and laid a solid foundation for deepening cooperation in the future.
This exchange visit further strengthened communication between the two sides. Both parties will take this exchange as an opportunity to continue deepening pragmatic cooperation in discipline development, talent cultivation, and research collaboration, jointly promoting the high-quality development of the college's cause.
