Professor Wang Xing was elected as the Vebleo Fellow of the international scientific organization VEBLEO Association

On August 14, 2026, Professor Wang Xing from our institution was awarded the title of Vebleo Fellow by the international scientific organization, the Vebleo Association, in recognition of his academic contributions in the field of materials science. Professor Wang Xing gave an invited plenary talk titled Chiral Antimicrobial Materials at the International Webinar on Materials Science, Engineering and Technology, hosted by Vebleo, on August 7, where he introduced the research achievements of his team in the field of chiral antimicrobial materials.


Vebleo is a non-profit international organization active in the fields of science, engineering, and technology, aiming to gather top-tier global researchers, promote interdisciplinary academic exchange, and drive research innovation. The organization shares the latest research findings with scientists, R&D personnel, and companies worldwide, explores future development directions, and builds an international platform for communication and collaboration. Vebleo Fellows are primarily awarded to outstanding researchers in the mid-career stage, who have at least 10 years of research and paper publication experience, are leading in their respective fields, and possess a high international reputation. This honor is recommended and nominated by the international committee and rigorously reviewed by international academic peers, representing a strong affirmation and authoritative recognition of the researchers' international reputation.


Being selected as a Vebleo Fellow is both a high affirmation of Professor Wang Xing's individual academic achievements and recognition of the research strength and discipline construction results of the College of Life Sciences and Technology at Beijing University of Chemical Technology by the international academic community. This will further promote the international academic influence of related disciplines in our institution.



Wang Xing, Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, and Deputy Dean of Research/International Affairs at the School of Life Sciences and Technology, Beijing University of Chemical Technology. The team focuses on fundamental research and applications of biomedical materials in the fields of antibacterial, hemostasis, and drug delivery. In the antibacterial field, Professor Wang Xing has proposed chiral recognition antibacterial strategies to address the challenge of microbial resistance, established a new system for chiral polymer antibacterial materials, revealed new mechanisms of recognition by bacterial and fungal membrane proteins, developed chiral polymer antibacterial products, created microbial monitoring equipment, and promoted naked-eye visualization antibacterial evaluation methods. Related achievements have been applied to serve national major needs. He has led 26 projects, including National Key R&D Program of China, National Natural Science Foundation of China, Beijing Key Special Programs, Field Funds, Overseas Expert Projects, and Enterprise Technology Development Projects. He has been invited to give more than 30 academic presentations and has hosted 5 academic conferences. He has published over 90 SCI papers in journals such as Advanced Materials, with an h-index of 42. He has been granted 23 patents and has transferred 3. He serves as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Antibacterial Society; the Deputy Chairman of the Zhongguancun Antibacterial Industry Alliance; a member of the Technical Committee for Standardization of Group Standards; and a Chinese expert with the ISO/TC 330 international expert group.
