In order to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on teachers' ethics and conduct, and to vigorously promote the spirit of educators, in accordance with the arrangements of Beijing University of Chemical Technology's 2026 Teachers' Ethics and Conduct Construction Month activities, the School of Life Sciences organized teachers' ethics and conduct education and centralized theoretical study for faculty and staff on the afternoon of October 9, 2026, in Conference Room 302 of the Science Building. All faculty and staff members participated in the study.
This study session combined ideological guidance with cautionary education. First, Party Secretary Cao Hui led the study of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on teachers' ethics and conduct, helping everyone to deeply understand the rich connotations of the spirit of educators. This guided faculty and staff to remember their mission of cultivating talent for the Party and the country, to uphold moral integrity in their personal conduct, academic pursuits, and teaching, and to implement the spirit of educators throughout the entire process of teaching, research, and service, striving to become "great teachers" in the new era.
Next, Wang Lei, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Secretary of the Discipline Inspection Commission, and Vice President, conveyed the relevant issues and, through the analysis of typical cases, clarified the discipline and served as a warning, guiding all faculty and staff to be respectful and abide by the bottom line, to clearly understand the rigid requirements for the construction of teachers' ethics and conduct in the new era, and to consciously and strictly abide by all regulations on teachers' ethics and conduct.
Finally, all participants watched the special videos "Xi Jinping's Affection for Teachers" and "Building Dreams as Light - Telling My Story of Nurturing People," gaining insights into the power of role models from touching stories of nurturing people and drawing spiritual nourishment from those who dedicate themselves to teaching and nurturing students.
At the meeting, the college leadership also deployed and emphasized relevant work matters.
